Welcome

Advanced Physical Therapy Center Staff

Since 1990 Advanced Physical Therapy Center has been a leader in providing the most advanced and innovative orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation services in Fairfield County. We are an independent PT-owned facility, which means there is no financial relationship between the facility and the 400 physicians from New York to Boston who refer to us.

Our Vision

To be the leader in providing the most advanced quality therapy in our community.

Our Mission

To guide and educate people to attain the highest quality of life through individual manual techniques, current exercise concepts, use of advanced technology and a teamwork approach.

We strive to:

  • Listen to our patients.
  • Foster a pleasant and professional atmosphere.
  • Show respect to all patients and staff.
  • Work together for optimum patient outcomes.
  • Provide the most effective and efficacious treatments.
  • Pursue on-going education, advanced training and certifications in our field.
  • Support community events.

Access physical therapy without a physician's prescription. Connecticut and New York are among 45 states that allow patients direct access to physical therapy services. Although we accept physician referrals, it is not a requirement to commence treatment (some restrictions apply).

Physical Therapists (PTs) are experts in the musculoskeletal system. Through a comprehensive evaluation, PTs can identify the "tissue at fault" and begin proper treatment or identify "red flags" that would require referral to a physician. The advantage to seeing a PT first is, for most cases, treatment can begin within days of injury thereby reducing pain and functional loss rather than weeks due to paperwork and waiting for appointments. It's your body... it's your choice!
